It's easy to miss with so many beautiful buildings in Venice. The special thing about Palazzo Tetta is that it is one of the few palaces in Venice that is surrounded by water on three sides. Clearly visible from the bridge.

A 17th-century palace with the distinction of being surrounded on three sides by water, unlike any other in Venice: here, the Rio di S. Marina flows against the building and forks into the Rio de S. Giovanni Laterano on the left and the Rio Tetta on the right.

It is a curious house, long and narrow, with brick walls, framed between sky and water: one of the most photographed buildings and views in Venice, especially from the Conzafelzi Bridge opposite.

I wanted to see this beautiful city again. This time without the hustle and bustle and without the many other tourists. I think I managed that quite well.

Day tickets for the ferries (€25) are available at the Ferrovia Rialto pier (A + B).
