Vandring
The city walls cover the northern part of the city and are connected to the fortress Fortica. They began to be built in the 13th century, and they got their current form with battlements and ramparts, and in several places it was reinforced with square towers. The eastern gate was called Porta Badoer. The people of Hvar call it Gradno vrota, i.e. City Gate, because, unlike the other gates that connect different parts of Hvar, only this one leads outside the city.
