The ascent from the Moselle town of Kobern-Gondorf up to the Oberburg with the culturally and historically significant Matthias Chapel is designed as a Way of the Cross. 14 small houses with basalt images of the Stations of the Cross depicting Jesus Christ tell the biblical story of salvation and his sacrifice on the cross.

A beautifully designed Stations of the Cross with reliefs from 1981/1982 The path becomes a little more demanding from station to station, but is also worth it because of the views over the Moselle valley.

Great Stations of the Cross on a steep and rocky path. At the end you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the Moselle valley!
