The statue of the fisherman on the coast is one of the most recognizable symbols of Njivica on the island of Krk. Njivice is a tourist destination that does not have a rich history, but in the past this place was a fishing village.
In honor of fishing, a popular fisherman statue stands on the main shore of Njivica. The sculpture commemorates part of the history of this area and underlines the importance of fishing - as one of the main activities of the local population.
