Vandring
The Kehler train station, which doesn't look like a train station from the front, has a rich history. It is located in the middle of the former fortress. This is made clear in the underpass. You can still see a few bricks on the other side of the B28. Then it was the border station for many refugees from Nazi Germany. Until 1985, there were often meticulous customs and personal checks in barracks on the now empty platform. Every train, including TGV and ICE, had to stop here for identity checks.
