Vandring

For my ideas the most beautiful park in Strasbourg. Within the old walls there is a place for everyone, be it for the children to play, for a cozy barbecue or for the couple in love. The park has several levels, plus some nice playgrounds and ponds. He can also be cycled on the bike.

Vandring

The citadel, built by Vauban after the capitulation of Strasbourg (1681), served primarily to defend the Rhine bridge. Before it was destroyed as a result of the city's annexation to the 2nd German Empire (1871), it had the plan of a regular pentagon with bulwarks at the corners.

In the 12-hectare promenade park surrounding their remains, the varying heights of architecture, the water in the ditches and the flora create a picturesque setting.
