Vandring
The ascent to Clear Lake from South Mineral Campground is steep but rewarding. The river that drains from the lake makes a magnificent waterfall along the side of the trail. You can also park at Clear Lake — though you will likely need a high clearance four-wheel drive vehicle to make it all the way to the trailhead — and hike the many trails overlooking Ice Lakes and the San Juans.

Clear Lake is a popular lake for hikers and runners. It is also a popular spot for fishing. The lake is at a high altitude, so the trail up to the lake has a lot of elevation change.
