The Schloßborn Forest Chapel and the Ostkreuz on the Butznickel offer magnificent views!
It's also a perfect place for a rest (several benches are available).

Løb

The Schloßborner Waldkapelle is fairly well hidden on the western outskirts of Schloßborn at the foot of the Butznickel (462m) in the middle of the forest. The cross was once built here by expellees.

Vandring

On the slope of the Butznickel, a long mountain ridge west of Schloßborn, a forest chapel was built by the community in 1950 and consecrated on the Thanksgiving Day in 1952. Small-volume building consisting of a plastered wall niche and a gable roof projecting on wooden supports. A Madonna of the Protective Cloak carved by Eugen Birkenmeyer, Freiburg im Breisgau, was placed inside and consecrated in 1954.
