Mother church. In the upper part of the balustrade, located at the main entrance, you can admire the bas-relief of the Lord in the centre, flanked by the engraved coats of arms of the Municipality of Roseto, the Di Capua family, the bishop Carafa and the Roman archpriest. The lower part of the balustrade is composed of several festoons and geometric designs in bas-relief.

The majestic Mother Church of Roseto Valfortore, dedicated to the Assumption, was already present in medieval times. It underwent a radical expansion in 1507, by Bartolomeo III of Capua.

Vandring
The great works allowed the extension of the main nave and the construction of three stone arches, decorated by the stonemasons of Roseto, in order to separate the presbytery from the rest of the church. During the 19th century, other renovations led to the construction of the Cappellone.
