National Geographic has included the Rocca di Calascio castle among the 15 most beautiful castles in the world. The Rocca di Calascio Castle is located within the boundaries of the Gran Sasso National Park and over the years, it has also been the set of very important films.

When on the top, It can get very windy, but it’s extremely beautiful, so don’t hesitate to go.

I would suggest to arrive to the top for the sunset, the sun will disappear just behind the castle’s structure .

You can climb to the westernmost end of the rocky spur on which the castle stands. Very windy, but very beautiful.
