At 7,690 feet, Little Ellis is quite a bit lower than its neighbor. Despite being the shorter summit, Little Ellis is often climbed by itself. The first few miles of trail are on easy double-track; the final mile is on steep, overgrown single-track. If you push up to the peak through meadows of wildflowers, you'll likely get the peak (a small, rocky outcrop) to yourself for a bit.
