Entrance costs €5 per person. There are various exits. If you want to go all the way, you have to walk about 3km. I found it very nice up there because you get a beautiful view of the cathedral and tower away from the crowds.

The walkway of the Walls of Pisa, with its 11 meters of height, offers the public the opportunity to observe the city from an unprecedented perspective. A pleasant walk to admire the characteristic Pisan panorama from above, from Piazza dei Miracoli to Piazzetta Del Rosso. The construction of the walls of Pisa began in 1154 in the part of the city north of the Arno; the construction of the work lasted until the year 1161, with subsequent completion in 1284 in the part of the Old Citadel area.
