Currently, the Torre de Bellaguarda is a watchtower rebuilt in the place that, long ago, occupied the original tower. A nucleus of houses arose around this tower, which today is known as the Bellaguarda de Altea neighborhood.
The current tower is an excellent viewpoint, as it has stairs to access its upper part, from where you can see a perfect panoramic view of the Sierra de Bernia and a large part of northern Altea.
