Vandring

The fourth oldest church in Rügen was built around 1210. A towerless, single-nave hall church was created.
Around 1400 the Romanesque choir was demolished and the current Gothic choir was built. A south chapel was also built, a sacristy and the north aisle were added. Around 1500 the current square, squat tower was added and the main nave was given a Gothic vault. At the end of the 18th century, the south chapel was largely demolished and rebuilt into the current baroque south aisle

The Sagard church is one of the four oldest places of worship on the island of Rügen. Around 1210, a single-aisle, towerless hall crane was built. Around 1400 the choir room was rebuilt to its current size. At the same time, a sacristy was added, the north nave was built and the south chapel was built. Around 1500 the bell tower was added and the main nave was given the Gothic vault. At the end of the 18th century, the south chapel was expanded to the current south nave.
