Eremo di San Giorgio or Eremo dei Camaldolesi is a small hermitage of the Camaldolese. Eight hermits manage this place of inner and outer peace and contemplation. At the entrance there is a small shop with typical local products of excellent quality. Interesting insights here:

A moderately difficult hike with good shoes. It can be reached in about 45 minutes from the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Garda.

The monastery has a fantastic location on this high hill, surrounded by nature. However, it cannot be visited. However, there is a monastery shop where the monks' products can be bought.

Vandring

The hermitage of San Giorgio (in Bardolino in the province of Verona) was founded in 1663. The construction work continued throughout the remainder of the 17th century and was completed with the erection of the church in 1704. Following the occupation by Napoleon's troops in 1810, the hermitage was abandoned and inhabited by farmers until the return of a Camaldolese community in 1885.
