A train with horses or a lock used to run here. The route is located directly on the border strip of the former GDR border. The train still operates for tourist purposes.

Vandring

The 2 km long field railway route runs in an extremely scenic way directly along the Saale from the old Blankenberg paper factory to the "Ziegelhütte" hiking car park at the entrance to Blankenstein. The community-owned route and the vehicles should be preserved in their last operational state and presented to the public on certain dates. There is also a ride sharing service based on donations.
