Vandring

The 1986 film "Highlander" with Christopher Lambert made Eilean Donan world famous with his bridge. Actually the scene that takes place there is only very short.
The MacLeod clan sets out for war and rides across the stone bridge, with the walls of the castle rising in the background.
But also James Bond (the world is not enough) and unfortunately only a few seconds and even Bollywood were active here.

The picturesque castle, is one of Scotland's most popular attractions and set in a beautiful scenery. Built in the 13th century on a tidal island, Eilean Donan Castle can be reached via a footbridge that connects it to the mainland. Unbelievable, that really looks like it. A great Fotosujet, we were due to the expensive entrance fee not in it, you have to decide for yourself if it's worth it. But the view from the outside is awesome.
