In the 1990s, the 7 km section between Đà Lạt and Trại Mát was rebuilt as a tourist attraction. Trains run here under the name "Dalat Plateau Rail Road.

Vandring
The restored Art Deco train station building (with Bauhaus influences) and its park-like front garden have been a national monument since 2001. It was designed in 1932 by the French architects Moncet and Reveron and completed in 1938. A steam locomotive from 1936 and a carriage from the 1950s are also on display.
The trains run to Trai Mat, a Kho village 7 km away, where you can visit the impressive Linh Phuoc Pagoda. Those without a train ticket can pay 50k to visit the station grounds, which include a small exhibition.

Unfortunately it is only used for tourist purposes, but there are still carriages and a train from the historical period available.
If you want to travel the historical route again, you should call in advance, as the train only runs with enough passengers.
