The Birnlückenhütte is also the starting point of the Lausitzer Höhenweg, which you can also walk as a section to the Neugersdorfer Hütte and down via the Tauernweg as part of a day tour if you arrive in good time.

Bjergvandring
Built in 1900, the Birnlückenhütte is perfectly suited as a starting point for the ascent of the Dreiherrenspitze (3,499 m) as well as for scenic hut hikes.
The tour along the Lausitzer Höhenweg to the Krimmler Tauern, past the non-managed Neugersdorfer Hütte, from where you can descend to the Krimmler Achental, the Zillertal or to Kasern in the back Ahrntal Valley, is also impressive.
