Place Saint-Georges is a circular square located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. It is lined with beautiful 19th century houses, some of which are listed as historic monuments, such as the Hôtel de Thiers at number 27, where the President of the Republic Adolphe Thiers lived, or the Hôtel de La Païva at number 28. , which belonged to a famous courtesan of the Second Empire.
In the center of the square is a fountain decorated with a bust of Paul Gavarni, a 19th century illustrator and caricaturist.
