Vandring
The Marienkapelle dates back to around 1120 and was built by Otto I the Holy (Bishop of Bamberg from 1102 to 1139). This makes the small chapel, which can be found next to the Bishop's Castle, one of the oldest buildings in Forchheim. According to legend, the place where the Marian Chapel stands is even the origin of Forchheim. It served as the castle chapel of the episcopal castle and was even connected to it by a now filled-in corridor. The sumptuously designed interior should certainly delight the viewer.

Vandring
The Marienkapelle, originally a chapel of the Bishop's Castle, dates back to the 12th century. In its present form, the chapel was built between the 14th and 18th centuries. The quality equipment is due to the Baroque transformation of 1720/30.
