    Despite the fact that no matter where you start your hike to Lake Solitude it is going to be a long, strenuous day, Lake Solitude is a very popular destination in Grand Teton National Park. Sitting at 9,035 feet, Lake Solitude is a beautiful glacier-carved alpine lake. Surrounded by rocky peaks and meadows, this scenic spot is popular with backpackers and day hikers alike. Lake Solitude is a fantastic place to rest, take photographs, and eat a snack before continuing onward toward Paintbrush Divide or back down Cascade Canyon.
