During the GDR era, brass instruments could be heard singing chorales on Sunday evenings. That meant climbing 220 steps. At that time, the left tower was covered in pigeon droppings several meters high.
Both towers have since been renovated.
Guided tours can be arranged through the city. You have an impressive view of the city.
