The Centenario fountain was inaugurated in 2002, as part of the celebrations of the centenary of the port of Castellón. This emblematic fountain is located on an old pier built at the end of the 19th century and includes a bronze sculpture by local artist Juan Ripollés.
A notable historical detail is that the semicircle of stone surrounding the fountain is made up of 120 original ashlars that come from the old pier, adding significant heritage value to the project.
Nowadays, already restored, it exhibits a lighting system at the base that will create visual effects with the water.
