Somewhat in the shadow of the famous market street is the actual old town of Bad Tölz, which was inhabited in the Middle Ages by raftsmen, lime burners, sieve makers, fishermen, charcoal burners and carpenters. With its winding streets and small squares decorated with fountains, the city area is definitely worth a visit.
