The Catholic Church of the Assumption of Mary in Rothenfels dates back to just before 1450 with its choir.
The nave dates from the years 1611 to 1630. The church tower was not added until 1750. In 1858, today's neo-Gothic high altar replaced a magnificent baroque altar.
