A beautiful mural shows the Saubach railway tradition.
Saubach is on the disused Finnebahn Laucha-Kölleda. The tracks and the station have been preserved. The route existed from 1914 to 1967.
The Laucha–Kölleda railway, better known as the Finnebahn, was a single-track branch line in what is now Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. It branches off the Unstrut Railway in Laucha and meets the Straußfurt–Großheringen railway in Kölleda. Two viaducts in the Saubachtal that are listed as historical monuments deserve special mention, the 29 meter high and 100 meter long Schnecktal Bridge and the 20 meter high 12 Apostle Bridge.
