Alongside Plaza Artigas, Plaza Constitution is one of the central hubs of Fray Bentos, the capital of the Rio Negro department. Around the square there are some interesting buildings:
- Museum Luis Alberto Solari (a local artist)
- Church of Nuestra Señora del Pilar
- Junta Departmental de Rio Negro
