Vandring
Napoleonstein (after Napoleon Bonaparte) is a name for memorials to veterans and soldiers who died in the Napoleonic Wars, especially in the German areas on the left bank of the Rhine, which were ceded to France after the Peace of Campo Formio (1797). Many soldiers were recruited there for the Napoleonic army, and the Napoleonic cult of veterans was later correspondingly large there.
