Vandring

The Lange Brücke was blown up during World War II. The will to rebuild it is unfortunately very low on both sides of the border.

The former long bridge over the Neisse was destroyed at the end of WWII and no longer built. It leads to the Berge district.

Vandring

Until 1922, the old "Long Bridge" over the Neisse River to the village of Berge, and after its incorporation in 1897 into the new district of Forst-Berge, was a wooden structure.
The old bridge had long since become inadequate for the ever-increasing traffic, and so in 1921 the town of Forst decided to build a new 170-meter-long bridge made of tamped concrete. A total of 394 railway wagons were required for equipment, scaffolding, and construction materials, weighing a total of 5,731 tons.
