The Madaba map is part of a floor mosaic at St George's Greek Orthodox Church in Madaba. The mosaic depicts part of the Middle East and contains the oldest surviving cartographic representation of the Holy Land and Jerusalem in particular. The map dates from the 6th century. A.D.
