Vandring

This imposing mountain (pronounced 'boorkeleh ettiv moor') fills this landscape and seems to watch over the surrounding moors. At a height of 3,353 feet (1022 m), it's one of the higher surrounding peaks and can be a challenging scramble to get to the top.

The name is Gaellic and means "Great Herdsman of Etive" after the River Etive that almost surrounds it.

This has to be one of the most spectacular places to walk/hike in the UK, on a good day you get great views, you are only a half hour drive from Fort William. Glencoe also has the mountain resort which is worth a visit.

Somehow you get in this plane just because of a narrow road in the middle of the desolation of the Scottish Highlands an impression how deserted this landscape is.
