But there is also a historical place here. From 10th to 13th Century the castle of the Margraves of Schweinfurt and a monastery were located here. Later, the Teutonic Order was based here until the Free Imperial City of Schweinfurt was able to purchase the site in 1437 and remove the fortifications.
1873-1874 today's historic building was built, reminiscent of a castle. They are currently used as a winery.
