Along a circular route (see komoot.com/de-de/tour/2594718709) through Jena, 15 stations and a central point invite visitors to experience mathematics in public spaces. Under the motto "Numbers and Figures," vivid topics such as number sequences, geometric shapes, and classic theorems of number theory are presented – in an understandable and engaging way.

The following mathematical topics are covered at this station:

Station 6 - Gauss's Formula
- Seven different figures for the first ten natural numbers
- The sum of the ten numbers, a brilliant idea, and a generalization
- Carl Friedrich Gauss as the "Prince" of Mathematicians
