    Vandring

The Berlin banker Wilhelm Goldmann (1833 to 1931) had lived in Friedrichshagen at Kaiserstrasse 2/4 (today Bruno-Wille-Strasse 8) every summer for decades. In 1914, after lengthy negotiations, the municipality of Friedrichshagen took over the Goldmannschen Park, a park-like property between Kastanienallee and the former extended Kurzen Straße, and the associated house plots in exchange for a lifelong pension for the previous owner. Goldmann was buried in Friedrichshagen at the Christophorus cemetery. The park was probably given the name "Goldmannpark" around 1914.
