Vandring

The former manor was destroyed during the Napoleonic Wars in 1806 and the Battle of Leipzig in 1813 and then sold to the Prussian Chamber Councilor Christoph Wilhelm Loss. He had the manor house, which had burned down to the foundation walls, rebuilt in 1818 in the classical style.

Vandring

Inherited, sold and restored several times, the building was a school from 1945-1983, then fell into disrepair. The manor house was restored in 1991 and now houses a boarding house and an art dealership specializing in the Weimar school of painting and the graphics of Max Klinger. Exhibitions are shown and concerts are held.

With the baroque courtyard gate and the restored gardens, an idea of the original ensemble is possible again today. In addition to the many original building details, the halls and staircase in the manor house are also worth seeing.
