Vandring
St. Maria Himmelfahrt with her eight-sided roof turret and the
"Lantern", a turret-like attachment. The church is the oldest building in town, built around 1195 as a Romanesque pillar basilica and
Collegiate Church of the Augustinian Choir Women. After several fires, the picture is today baroque; inside there are three original baroque altars from the early 17th century. The former monastery building now houses the German Blade Museum.

The church is located directly above the historic city center. There are a number of nice restaurants on the market square, where you can sit outside in summer.
