One of the architectural highlights in the municipality of Rorschach is the baroque granary, built between 1746 and 1749. For a long time it was used as a granary and warehouse, including after it was sold to the city in 1908. It was not until the beginning of the 21st century that long-standing plans to convert it were partially implemented. The granary now houses the Museum in the Granary.

The Kornhaus is a baroque building in the Swiss municipality of Rorschach directly on Lake Constance. It was built between 1746 and 1749 as a granary by architect and master builder Johann Caspar Bagnato for Prince Abbot Cölestin Gugger of the Prince Abbey of St. Gallen.

In 1908 the building was sold to the city and continued to be used mainly as a warehouse. Long-term plans for the change of use were only partially implemented at the beginning of the 21st century. The building now houses the Museum im Kornhaus.
