At be-MINE you can see a lot about the past in the museum and the heritage zone, but there is something everywhere. On this small track park there is still a train set with an old locomotive and special cars that can also be found on other tracks next to it. And of course the information board is not missing. Coal, dust and a lot of noise. Ever. There are some rest benches ahead that resemble a station platform. With some imagination...

Vandring

The Sporenpark is part of the new Houtpark residential area. In the past, this place functioned as a marshalling yard for coal transport to the coal port and the NMBS station. The railway infrastructure with rails, sleepers, signaling equipment and a coal wagon has been preserved in its original state. The Sporenplein is part of 'My Experience'. 'Around the square are protected monuments such as the coal washing plant and the bathing hall building.
