Vandring
The Mönchsberg is named after the monks of the nearby Benedictine monastery of St. Peter. It stretches for 500 m from the fortress mountain in a northerly direction along the left bank of the Salzach to Mülln. Its highest point is 508 m.
Small castles, villas, old fortifications, meadows, forests and wonderful views of the city and the Alpine panorama make the plateau mountain a varied local recreation area.
