A former abbey near the city Burghausen. It dates from the 12th century, when the area was founded by Count Wolfker de Tegerwac and his wife Henna. A short time later, the regular monastery was moved here.
Today, the monastery buildings are only partially existent. During the secularization, numerous buildings of the complex were demolished.
Among the attractions of the monastery, in addition to the Baroque-Romanesque monastery church, the Papstzimmer and the so-called Steinerne Saal.
Directly in the monastery Raitenhalsbach the Klostergasthof resides.
