Vandring
The Red Cave is a historic enclave. A section of the famous "Camino de Las Lecheras" passes through here. This route was used by the old dairy farms of La Laguna to transport their goods and exchange food in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The road began at the Cruz de los Álamos in Las Mercedes and ended at the Recova Vieja, next to the current site of the Guimerá Theater in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

This curious point is formed by two openings in a large cave of a beautiful reddish color that is part of a buried pyroclastic volcano. It is located in the Santa Cruz neighborhood of the same name.
Also, more than seventy years ago, it served as a quarry, since many of the surrounding buildings are built with stones extracted from this point.
You can walk through the openings of the cave and there is currently an information panel very close, right where the Sendero de las lecheras begins.

Vandring
This beautiful cave with reddish tones is located very close to the town of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There is currently a project to enhance and recover it, since unfortunately not all its visitors respect it. The cave is a crossing point for the path marked Camino de Las Lecheras, and has an upper viewpoint that is accessed by stairs.
