The Cathedral of Santa Creu and Santa Eulàlia is the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, the seat of the Archdiocese of Barcelona. The cathedral was built during the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries on the same site where there had been a Romanesque cathedral, and even earlier a Paleo-Christian cathedral. The neo-Gothic façade is modern (19th century). The building is an Asset of Cultural Interest and, since November 2, 1929, a National Historic Artistic Monument
