Japanese Garden in the Oliwa Park. The garden is entered through the Torii gate (鳥居) made of Siberian larch wood, which symbolizes the transition from the human (earthly and finite) world to the world of gods (heavenly and infinite) in the culture and religion of Japan. Behind the gate, there are also other objects inspired by Japanese culture and religion, such as the pavilion (Jinja 神社) and the stone lantern (ishi-dōrō (石灯籠).
