In 1979, Maximilian Stockhuber created the "Rösslbrunnen" (Rössl Fountain) to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Peace of Teschen.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the town twinning with Landshut, the Lughofer intersection was officially renamed "Landshuter Platz" in honor of the twin town in 1995.

The Peace of Teschen between Austria and Prussia ended the War of the Bavarian Succession.
