Since both examples obviously have a lot to do with water, the story of the drinking fountain on Hainaer Dorfstrasse, a unique protected cultural monument, also fits. To be more precise, it is a pretty well house made of carved limestone, consisting of a brick well room and an attached half-timbered building. Haina can point to an extraordinary wealth of water from the Spring with its tributaries, the Dörflesgraben (also called Augraben), the Hutschbach, the Weißbach and the Sulza, so that there were once even five mills in operation in Haina. However, none exists today.
