The Osterkopf, an isolated mountain cone, rises north of Usslen. At an altitude of almost 709 meters you have a very nice view over Usseln and a great view over the Diemelsee Nature Park. And when the air is really clear, you can even see the Brocken in the Harz Mountains.

The unique heath landscape on the almost unwooded Osterkopf high is a nature reserve.

The Easter head is one of the Sauerland soul places and symbolizes the theme of infinity.
