Vandring

This section winds its way along the Hanfbach between the main street, the fields, old railway tracks and a quarry. Partly developed like a dirt road, but mostly as a narrow path with fallen trees and swampy spots, it is only suitable for hikers with sturdy shoes and a minimum level of fitness and surefootedness. Below the quarry, it flows into an area of an old railway. A few relics can still be seen from the ground here. The following asphalt road (not open to the public) meanders up the hill past an old quarry to Sassenberg.

The birds chirp, the stream ripples, the path winds along the stream. There are hardly any nicer ways.

This hike should be most beautiful in May and June. The absolute silence in between is fascinating.
