In Gubbio, in Piazza del Bargello, there is this fountain. Whoever takes three laps around the fountain and gets bathed in the presence of an inhabitant of Gubbio can obtain a crazy license

Tradition has it that by making three laps around the fountain, one can obtain the "Madman's License". This must be done in the presence of a Gubbio citizen who, at the end of the course, will also "baptize" each applicant with water from the well. This citizen will ask the Maggio Eugubino Association for the coveted license, the only original license (you can buy others in the shops, but only this one is real and proves that you are really crazy...).
