The late Celtic Viereckschanze is located on the border with Bavaria. It is also called the "Celtic Lair". People lived here more than 2,000 years ago.

Vandring

The Keltenschanze is an Iron Age archaeological monument located near Kist. It is a circular rampart with a diameter of about 100 meters, which probably served as a fortification or place of worship. The Keltenschanze is a popular hiking destination as it offers a beautiful view of the landscape and provides an insight into the history of the Celts.

Vandring

More than 2000 years ago, people lived here on what is now the Bavarian/Baden Württemberg state border. During the excavations in 1938, pottery shards, metal objects and parts of a plow and spade were found.

In addition, researchers had uncovered the foundations of a longhouse. The house dates from the 12th-14th centuries. Today, through the dense stock of trees, only the man-made wall and the former cistern can be seen.
